The Government of Republic of Srpska and the AMS RS introduced a NEW RIGHT for all citizens who register their vehicles in the Republic of Srpska, as of 1st of January 2008, which no other drivers in neighboring countries and Europe have.

Law on powers of the Automobile and Motorcycle Association of the Republic of Srpska (Official Gazette of the RS No. 01/09) stipulates that by paying a special fee during registration, owners of motor vehicles and trailers acquire the right to one free service of transporting a vehicle damaged in a traffic accident, as well as transporting the owner of the vehicle and of other passengers to the desired destination, on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, once a year. The rights to free transportation of vehicles and passengers in a vehicle damaged in traffic can be exercised only through the Information and Dispatch Center of the AMS RS, by calling the number 1285.

Automobile and Motorcycle Association of the Republic of Srpska, in Article 94a of the Law on Traffic Safety on the Roads of the Republic of Srpska, has taken on the additional obligation of free removal of broken down vehicles registered in the Republic of Srpska from roads and public areas in the Republic of Srpska to the nearest safe location. Automobile and Motorcycle Association of the Republic of Srpska extended the stated obligation to the transport of broken-down vehicles up to 50 kilometers, thus extending the scope of citizens' right to transport broken-down vehicles.
